		<description>Thanks for the mention Erin!  I just saw this and I&#039;m glad you&#039;re following along.  I&#039;m running my first (and second) 5k&#039;s this weekend and am proud to admit that I finally love running.  And that I&#039;m no longer a couch potato :) I definitely agree that other people&#039;s running stories are what motivate me to keep going, even on some of the bad days. Every time I get the mileage up, or if increase too fast it will act up. Went to the Dr. a couple years ago and he basically said i need to not run everyday and do other things (like swim)... And, well... he&#039;s probably right. 
Anyway, I find it really helps the knee to do some strength training on off days. Those walking lunge things are easy to do anywhere and seem to help me a lot.
